Anna Gesa-Raija Lappe

Anna Gesa-Raija Lappe was born in Hamburg in 1991. She completed her acting studies at the Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg. At the same time, she worked at the Staatstheater Stuttgart. For her performance in *Die Unerhörte*, which won the Körber Studio Young Directors’ Award in 2018, she was nominated for Young Actress of the Year. In 2018, she moved to the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where she was again nominated for Young Actress of the Year in 2019 for her portrayal of Ellida in *Nora, Hedda, and Their Sisters*. From 2020 to 2024, Anna Gesa-Raija Lappe was a member of the ensemble at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Since moving to Munich, she has organized many queer events and hopes that there will be at least one DYKE*Bar in the city in the future. She appeared in the play Die Vaterlosen, directed by Jette Steckel, at the Berliner Theatertreffen and the Hamburg Theater Festival. The production *WOW – Word on Wirecard*, directed by Łukasz Twarkowski, received the German Theater Prize DER FAUST in 2024. Anna Gesa-Raija Lappe has appeared in various film and television productions and has provided voice-over work for numerous radio plays. Since 2024, she has been working as a freelance actress, voice-over artist, and casting director.She also teaches acting at the University of Ludwigsburg and at the Iceland University of the Arts in Reykjavík. She leads theater workshops for schoolteachers as well as for teenagers and young adults with and without disabilities. She made her directorial debut on December 13, 2025, with her play “Start in 1 Minute.”
