All under 30 get into the MK for 10 euros
Come to our theater box office or buy your 10-euro ticket online. In the online store, select the U30 price instead of “normal price” and then follow the purchase process. Whether you are in school, training, studying, working or between jobs, if you are under 30, this is your ticket to the theater.

Free choice of seats in the Therese-Giehse-Halle and the Werkraum
From April 1, 2024, you are free to choose your seat in Therese-Giehse-Halle and Werkraum. This means that we will return to the pre-pandemic system.
We offer the new option of early boarding. Early boarding is an offer for visitors with both visible and non-visible disabilities and means that it is possible to enter the respective halls earlier in order to find your seat in peace and quiet and get used to the space and lighting situation in a relaxed manner. In both venues, hearing aids (induction loops for hearing aids) are also available from the admission service. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, simply come to the foyer a little earlier and speak to the admissions staff.
Advance booking & publication of the monthly schedule
On the 1st of each month we start the advance sale for the following month. If the 1st is on a week-end or holiday, the regular advance sale is postponed to the following working day. Please also note updates on the home page.

Frequently asked questions
Where and how can I buy tickets?
You have several options for purchasing tickets:
- In person at the box office
- Online via the ticket area of the Münchner Kammerspiele or via payment link
- At the box office, which opens one hour before the performance begins
- By telephone with direct debit via IBAN
- By invoice
-> On request, we can also send you your tickets by post (plus shipping costs: €5.90)
-> Or we can deposit the tickets at the box office (service charge: €1.90)
Reservations can be made by telephone for one week - but only up to eight days before the performance date at the latest.
You can pay for reserved tickets conveniently online in your customer area.
I have forgotten my password for the customer area - what now?
No problem!
Simply click on “Forgot password” in the login area. You will then receive an e-mail with which you can easily set a new password.
Important: Discounts through your TheaterCard or your subscription are only available when you are logged in.
What kind of tickets are available for people with disabilities?
People with a disabled pass or in a wheelchair receive a 50% discount - simply select the ticket type “MK People with disabilities”.
If a “B” is noted on your ID, you can also book the free “MK accompanying person” ticket for your companion.
Wheelchair spaces are available
- can be booked online, by telephone, by email or in person
- can be reserved for up to 7 days on request
You can pay for reserved tickets conveniently online in your customer area.
Important: If a wheelchair space is no longer available online, please contact the box office by phone or email. We will be happy to check availability and help you.
I am under 30 - are there discounts for me?
Yes! If you are under 30 years old - whether you are a pupil, trainee, student, FSJ volunteer or in a similar life situation - you will receive a special offer for almost all performances:
The U30 ticket for just €10
Valid for all performances, except premieres, concerts and special events. The ticket can also be booked online.
Tip: For frequent visitors under 30, there is also the Kammerflat - a subscription especially for young people.

Is there an offer for holders of the Munich Pass?
Yes, as a holder of a Munich Pass you can purchase the “MK München Pass” ticket for €8 - regardless of the regular price category.
The ticket is available:
- online
- by phone (please have your IBAN ready)
- in person at the theater box office
Important: Please bring your Munich Pass with you to the event and show it at the entrance.
Without valid proof, you will unfortunately have to buy a ticket at the regular price.
What is the theater day ("Theatertag")- and when does it take place?
On Theater Day, all tickets cost just €15 - regardless of the seating category!
It takes place once a month and is a great opportunity to experience our program at a particularly low price.

Is there a group discount?
Yes, if you buy 10 or more tickets for the same performance, you will receive a 10% discount on the total price.
Please note: premieres, concerts and special events are excluded from this discount.
What offers are there for school classes and pupils?
Teachers can easily reserve seats for school classes by emailing theaterkasse@kammerspiele.de or calling +49 (0)89 / 233 966 00.
Pupils receive an individual code with their ticket, which they can use to book a free ticket for another performance online - ideal for coming back or bringing someone else with them.
Please note: Premieres, concerts and special events are excluded from this offer.

Do I have to print out my ticket or is it enough on my cell phone?
At the entrance, we scan the QR code directly from your cell phone - simply and contactlessly.
You can either:
- show the digital ticket on your mobile device
- bring the printed version with you
- or save the ticket in your wallet (e.g. Apple or Google Wallet) and use it
Simply choose the option that is most convenient for you!
Is MVV use included in the ticket?
Yes - if MVV use is noted on your season ticket or admission ticket, you can use all means of transport in the M-6 zone free of charge on the day of the performance - for the outward and return journey.
Times of validity:
Valid on the day of the event from 3 p.m. (and in any case 3 hours before the start of the event) for a return journey (until 6 a.m. on the following day) on all MVV public transport in zones M-6. The ticket can only be used if the person named on the ticket is present, can identify themselves if necessary and, in the case of several tickets for a group (travelling together), has proof of payment.
- The Wallet ticket does not show MVV information. In this case, please carry the PDF version of your ticket with you - e.g. from the customer area - for possible checks on local public transport.
How can I redeem my voucher?
You can easily redeem your voucher online, by telephone or at the theater box office.
Online redemption:
Log in to your customer area and enter the voucher number and the corresponding PIN during the payment process.
Tip: You can also enter several vouchers one after the other - they will be deducted automatically.

I would like to give away a membership or a visit to the theater - how does that work?
A great idea - theater makes a wonderful gift!
You have several options:
- You can buy tickets or memberships online or directly at the box office.
- If you provide us with the postal address of the person receiving the gift, we will be happy to take care of the shipping.
- If you would like to do everything digitally: After purchasing in your customer area, you can simply forward the tickets or membership.
Can't decide on a date yet?
Then a gift voucher is just the thing - the recipient can choose when they would like to visit us. Give a gift now!
Can I transfer my tickets to another date or give them to someone else?
Yes, it's very easy! You can easily rebook your tickets for another day or transfer them to another person. To do this, simply log in to your customer area and use the “Forward” button to make the transfer yourself.
Can I return my tickets and get my money back?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to return tickets.
Are there exceptions to the return policy?
For selected events, we offer the option of exchanging tickets for a voucher or donating them to the Münchner Kammerspiele instead of returning them.
I am a subscriber and would like to swap my subscription date. How do I proceed?
You can exchange your subscription tickets online - for another performance, a donation or an exchange voucher (valid in the current season). HERE you will find brief instructions on how to use it.
Why can't I buy tickets for multiple performances at the box office?
Tickets can only be purchased at the box office for the respective evening. The box office opens one hour before the performance at the respective venue.
I wanted to buy a ticket online and now the day, the item and the time are wrong. What can I do?
We will be happy to exchange your ticket. You can contact us by e-mail at theaterkasse@kammerspiele.de, by telephone on +49 (0)89 / 233 966 00 or in person at the box office.
What payment options do I have for my tickets?
You can pay online by credit card or PayPal. We accept EC cards, credit cards and cash at the box office. Reservations can be paid conveniently by payment link. It is also possible to have the amount debited directly from your account up to 8 days before the performance - please have your IBAN ready. We will be happy to issue you with an invoice on request.
