Where do we stand – decades after the sexual revolution of the 1960s? How can we continue advocating for liberation and experimenting with sensual practices beyond normative clichés? In a wildly sensuous composition of movement, text and the personal experiences of the performers, choreographer Michiel Vandevelde collaborates with members of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble and protagonists from the sex positivity scene to explore contemporary understandings of sexuality. Inspired by Carolee Schneemann’s “Meat Joy” performance piece from 1964, a mutable landscape of bodies, colours and orgasmic energies unfolds on stage.
