In 2014, the Islamic State (IS) attacked the Yazidi religious minority in northern Iraq, killing a large part of the male population. Over 7,000 women and girls became sex slaves of IS fighters and repeatedly suffered rape and torture. The immensity of these tragedies makes them uncommunicable. How can these unimaginable experiences be shared? Tea Tupajić invited four Yazidi women to go on a year-long retreat and, with the help of gestures, movements and rituals, to reach a place inaccessible to language or any other medium.
