Workshop Language: English
Within this workshop you will connect your voice with music history. How does a traditional song develop over decades and how does it change by moving through the whole world and global music traditions?
First of all Svitlana will introduce you to the voice and basic techniques of traditional singing and improvisation. Afterwards you will have a look into music history, learn and research “Shchedryk”, known in English as “Carol of the Bells” by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych.
How did “Shchedryk” („Carol of the Bells“) sounded thousands of years ago and how does it sound today?
“Performing zu Hause” with Yevgen Bondarskyy
Workshop Language: English and German
The workshop will introduce you to the methodology of the play “Xáta - Home” from a performative point of view. One part will be improvisational sketches that explore our concepts of “home” with various theatrical means. Attention, concentration, imagination, energy and creativity are the areas we want to focus on.
Please come in comfortable clothes and shoes.
