Genuine, uncomplicated, natural, passionate. blind & lame, that’s Gika and Lucy Wilke, the blind mother and daughter in a wheelchair. With the blunt name, the subject of disability should be ticked off straight away. Then it’s all about the music. And it’s anything but lame:

It is above all their inimitable coolness that makes the musicians stand out from the crowd and has earned them a lot of media attention as a “model band with disabilities” since their debut in 2014. The unmistakable music of blind & lame combines modern guitar pop with elements of gipsy rumba, swing and soul and takes the audience on a crossover journey through the world.

On stage, blind & lame create maximally magical moments with their spirited performance despite their minimal line-up. “Danceable singer-songwriter music” is probably the best way to describe the music of blind & lame.
