Mervan Malwin Ürkmez

Mervan Malwin Ürkmez studied acting at the HfMT Hamburg and has worked at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, Kampnagel, BAT Berlin as well as in film, radio and exhibition contexts. In addition, she has created her own works and regularly participates in projects in the independent scene, often at the interface of performance and visual arts in Germany and abroad. In this context, Ürkmez received the “Werk.Förderung” grant from the City of Dortmund in 2023, which resulted in a project in Xian, China. Permanent engagements have taken him to Theater Oberhausen and Schauspiel Dortmund. Since the 23/24 season, he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Schauspielhaus Graz, where he also realized his solo “And the Stars Willl Be up Tonight”.
