This is community radio coming from the conflict zone between translation and mistranslation. Every second Friday, hosts Rano and Booty are producing a new four-hour marathon programme — live from the Habibi Kiosk. It’s about music and community - and global alliances, memory culture, taking one’s time and the beauty of sharing. Habibi Keks emerged in cooperation with Disco Tehran, New York City. Their internet radio station brings in donations for their own community kitchen. This has enabled them to supply more than 80,000 meals to less privileged people since March 2020.
