The exhibition “Photographs” by Julian Shreddy Elbel presents a collection of photographic works created in Munich in 2019 and 2020. They show the supposedly invisible side of a city that tries to suppress its own complexity. The works do not claim to be objective. Instead, they are empathetic, intimate portraits that attempt to overcome the intellectual distance between the photographer and the photographed.
At the exhibition opening, “Shreddy” will be joined by the musician Enik, who will accompany the opening with a solo improv set. The two will also talk about the creation of the photographic works during the evening.
The exhibition is shown in cooperation with GALERiNi - Kunstverein Schwabing e.V. and the curator Reinhard Oefele.
