Paula Schlagbauer

Paula Schlagbauer studied stage design at the UdK Berlin and is currently in her final year of her directing studies at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. She designs stage sets and costumes in Leipzig, Berlin and Munich. During her first degree in theater studies in Leipzig, she worked as an intern at Berlin theaters (Ersan Mondtag, Stefan Pucher, Nurkan Erpulat). In spring 2020, she made a performance at the Deutsches Theater Berlin as part of the Unart Festival. In the 20/21 season, her first play “Chickenfilet mit rose” premiered at the Cammerspiele Leipzig, and she was invited to the 35th Treffen junger AutorInnen and the Nahaufnahme of the International Berlin Literary Festival with the text for Chickenfilet. She is a fellow of the 21st International Schiller Festival at the NT Mannheim and the Richard Stury Foundation. With her collective Grizzly and Leo Productions, she was Artist in Residence at the Goethe Institute Thessaloniki in 2022.
In July 2023 she staged the play “Metzger in Masken UA” at the Volkstheater Munich.
In May 2024 she staged “Totenüberlebung UA” by Jona Spreter at Münchner Kammerspiele.
Her final project “Bavarokratie” will premiere on 19.3.2025 at Münchner Kammerspiele
