Magdalena Wisniowska

Magdalena Wisniowska, born in Wrocław in 1980, is an independent researcher and curator based in Munich. Since completing her PhD in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths in 2010, she has written on speculative realism, contemporary art, and Deleuzian aesthetics, with her essays published in Speculations, SubStance, Deleuze and Guattari Studies, Journal of Aesthetics and Phenomenology, and, most recently, Cosmos and History. In 2015, she founded the art project space GiG Munich, formerly active at the Lothringer 13 Studio, and currently operating in a nomadic mode. There, she curates, writes exhibition texts, and organises talks and discussions on art and philosophy. Since 2025, she has served on the board of Kunstraum München.
