Kristina Schmidt

Kristina Schmidt is an artist and art educator who lives in Munich. Kristina Schmidt uses digital and analogue media and experiments with many different materials, such as ceramics, oil painting, papier-mâché, found objects and water. In her paintings, Kristina Schmidt often depicts herself as a humorous cartoon character, alongside works of art from throughout history. In Kristina Schmidt’s fountain sculpture, water is pumped through a system of plastic boxes and ceramic vessels.
