Anne Marx
Anne Marx works as a freelance artist specialising in performative textile design and lives in Weimar. In her work, she highlights social phenomena and potential, challenges conventional production techniques and subverts established habits. By experimenting with combinations of materials and methods, she designs wearable pieces, objects and spaces. She focuses on projects that foster communities and connections. Since completing her studies in Visual Communication, she has been working on independent and collaborative projects. In addition to workshops and courses at cultural institutions, she regularly lectures at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the Technical University of Munich, the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Cologne. She is a co-founder of A Studio Weimar and an active member of the cultural association Studio Wägetechnik e.V. and GRAPHIT e.V. Her work has been exhibited at venues including Contextile Guimarães, the University of Bolzano, the Architektur Galerie Berlin, the Max Liebling House in Tel Aviv, the Bauhaus Museum Weimar and the Thuringian State Representation in Berlin. She has taken part in several residencies and contributed to theatre productions. She has been part of the Kubik collective since 2018.
