Longega Project (Youlee Ku, Nele Ka, Oliver Hausmann, Fabian Feichter, Siyoung Kim und Judith Neunhäuserer)
The Longega Project is an international exchange and residency programme for artists, based in the Ladin village of Longega in the South Tyrolean Dolomites at an altitude of 1,000 metres. Launched in 2017, the project was founded by Fabian Feichter and Youlee Ku and has gradually expanded to include members Siyoung Kim, Judith Neunhäuserer, Nele Ka and Oliver Haussmann.
The focus is on international artist residencies and site-specific research; drawing on the connections between South Tyrol, Munich and South Korea, the collective initiates cultural exchange in various locations using experimental formats.
The Longega Project International Artist House is situated on the Vigilbach in the Gadertal valley and offers living and working spaces for international artists. The alpine landscape of the Dolomites, Ladin culture and local myths frequently form the starting point for both individual and collaborative artistic processes within the framework of intercultural cooperation.
Since 2019, Longega Project has been developing an ongoing exchange programme with the Horanggasi Creative Studio in Gwangju, South Korea. This regularly gives rise to international residencies, exhibitions and collaborations between artists from South Tyrol, Munich and Korea.
In addition to its residency programmes, Longega Project also organises major exhibitions and international presentations, including projects at the MaximiliansForum in Munich in 2022 to mark its fifth anniversary, participation in the Gwangju Biennale in 2024, and exhibitions at the Rathausgalerie in Munich in 2025. The programme is complemented by performances, workshops, artist talks and collaborative publications in an international context.
