Maarten van Otterdijk (Wunderbaum)

Maarten has been part of the Wunderbaum theater troupe as a set designer for 25 years. From 2018 to 2022, he served on the artistic board of the Theaterhaus Jena alongside his Wunderbaum colleagues, where he also worked as a set designer.
From 2022 to 2024, he worked alongside Lizzy Timmers at the Theaterhaus Jena as a scenographer and co-artistic director. He shares a long-standing artistic collaboration with Lizzy Timmers that began before this period and continues to this day.
In addition, Maarten works as a freelance set and scenographer with numerous female directors and theater makers both in Germany and abroad. His work has been presented at venues including NTGent in Belgium, Het Zuidelijk Toneel in the Netherlands, and various theaters and production companies in Germany and the Netherlands.
