Shai Hoffmann

Shai Hoffmann is the managing director of Gesellschaft im Wandel gGmbH, through which he runs activist and political education projects. He launched the Israel-Palestine educational videos and travelled across Germany in the ‘Bus der Begegnungen’ ahead of the 2017 federal election to engage in dialogue with members of the public. After 7 October 2023, Shai Hoffmann, together with Jouanna Hassoun, launched the “Trialoge” project, in which they visit schools across Germany to talk to pupils about their feelings regarding the war in Israel and Gaza. He is also the host of the podcast “Talking about Israel and Palestine” and launched the Tiny House project of the same name to create safe spaces in public places where people can engage in dialogue about the Middle East conflict. His podcast aims to highlight the diversity of opinions on this complex issue within German society. Shai explores the range of views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by engaging in conversation with experts, teachers and educators, amongst others.
