Three experienced woodwind and brass players from Portugal, Hungary, and Germany cross paths in Munich. From the very first notes they played together, a shared passion became clear: the voice of the flute—a sound that resonates across cultures and through time. Flutes are among humanity’s oldest instruments and can be found in nearly every tradition around the world. Their sound is timeless and undeniably sacred. Flutes require only one simple element to function: Levegő, the Hungarian word for air. David, Gergely, and Goncalo cherish the process of engaging with their own cultural roots—as well as the joy of discovering new music (and many new flutes). With Levegő, we invite the audience into this space of written and improvised resonances—a breath of air that becomes music and flows into your ears.
