Yael Esther Mor
Yael Esther Mor is a performer, theatre-maker, and writer who navigates the delicate balance between comedy and drama. Internalizing the world around her – sometimes too deeply – she expresses it in personal, humorous, and occasionally provocative ways. Yael investigates human rawness and vulnerability unapologetically, with tenderness and irony.
She graduated from the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio in Tel Aviv with an Excellence Scholarship and was awarded Best Actress in 2019 for her role in Sarah Kane’s Blasted at Habait Theater in Tel Aviv. Mor has performed in leading repertory theatres in Israel, such as HaKameri Theatre Tel Aviv and the Khan Theatre in Jerusalem, as well as in fringe productions and children’s plays. Alongside her acting, Yael Mor writes and creates original theatre pieces, audio plays, texts, and short films.
Since moving to Berlin in 2022, Yael has presented her work at festivals and venues including Berliner Festspiele, Ballhaus OST, and The English Theatre Berlin. She curates interdisciplinary evenings of performance, text, and music, and facilitates writing workshops.
Yael Esther Mor is a member of the artist collective AFAIK, together with Maidje Meergans and Katharina Ruhm. In 2025, she was selected for the Mentorship Program of the Performing Arts Program Berlin.
