Maria Retter

Maria Retter is an investigative journalist who works for the Munich-based newsroom paper trail media, which works for Der SPIEGEL magazine and the ZDF television station. Her work focuses on Israel and the Middle East, and she speaks Hebrew. Retter was part of the research team that, together with the British Guardian and the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism network, among others, made public the alleged actions of the ‘Gaza Sniper’ from Munich. She studied international economics and political science in Innsbruck and Paris.
