Agora Hub II by water me

AgoraHub began in May–June 2025 as an experimental series of public discussions at Zirka’s Forum, part of the multidisciplinary project Water Me, sponsored by the Kulturreferat Müchen and the BA Neuhausen, hosted by Zirka Space.
It was conceived to foster dialogue between artists, cultural practitioners, and the broader public—both locally and internationally—through events exploring art, ecology, activism, and social change. Each session offered an open platform for exchanging ideas, artistic practices, and collaborative proposals, creating a space for horizontal reflection and critical engagement.

The name AgoraHub reflects the essence of the initiative. While addressing eco-political issues within the arts, it deliberately departs from the traditional symposium format of panels and keynotes. Instead, it draws inspiration from the agora—the public square of Ancient Greece—reimagined here as an inclusive space open to all participants.

The second edition (December–March 2026) is both more collaborative and more structured. The curatorial team has expanded from a single curator (Maria Pia Napolitano de Majo) to a trio (with Nicola Bonanomi and Ilaria Sponda), the number of invited guests has grown, and events will now be spread across multiple locations in Munich to reach broader audiences. This diversity of voices deepens the discussion of ecology and politics, allowing these complex topics to unfold in their full richness.
