Maria Pia Napolitano de Majo

MARIA PIA NAPOLITANO DE MAJO (*1996, Naples, Italy) is a freelance curator and a PhD student in Classical Philology and Gender Studies at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. She studied Classical Language and Literature at Federico II – University of Naples and Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. She is currently a student of Professor Hito Steyerl in the Emergent Digital Media class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Her curatorial interests range from feminist posthumanism to the Capitalocene, urban ecologies, and critical AI art. Her doctoral interests focus on the reception of Homeric poems in contemporary feminist readings. As a performer, she examines gender oppression, offering the female body as a site of becoming.
