Paulina Czienskowski

Paulina Czienskowski lives and works as an author in Berlin, where she was born and raised. In 2018, her collection of short stories “Manifest gegen die emotionale Verkümmerung” was published by Korbinian Verlag. In spring 2020, her debut novel “Taubenleben” was published by Blumenbar and shortlisted for the EU Prize for Literature. This was followed by further literary texts for various anthologies, the theater stage, and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. Among other things, she collaborated with Theresia Enzensberger on an audio anthology on the theme of tenderness. Her second novel was published in 2025 and is called “Dem Mond geht es gut”. She is currently working on a long radio play for Deutschlandfunk Kultur. In her work, she explores questions of the psyche, conditioning, femininity, and visibility, always searching and with poetic precision.
