Berfin Celebi is a queer, trans activist and social worker who, under her online name “kurdischekween,” shares diverse insights on topics such as trans identity, Islam, anti-racism, and Kurdish culture on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. She is passionately committed to supporting those affected and breaking down social barriers. Berfin speaks openly about the challenges of her transition, which was marked by an involuntary outing, among other things—an experience that has profoundly influenced her life and activism. Her work focuses on communicating intersectional perspectives: she addresses multiple discrimination, self-empowerment, and the complex tension between religion and queerness.
