Stella Brauer
Stella Brauer, born in Vienna in 1997, works at the intersection of set and costume design, visual art and performance.
During her bachelor’s degree, she focused on theatre and feminist performance art in post-war Vienna. In the independent theatre scene, she directed Jean-Paul Sartre’s *No Exit*. This was followed by a degree in set design and extended scenic space at the Technical University of Berlin.
In 2024, she designed the set for *Zwischen den Dingen sind wir sicher* (We Are Safe Among Things), directed by Ulrike Euen at the Theater Chemnitz. Since the 2025/2026 season, she has held a permanent position as a set design assistant at the Münchner Kammerspiele. At the same time, she works as a production designer on film projects, including in collaboration with the Munich University of Television and Film (HFF Munich).
As part of the Munich Kammerspiele’s centenary celebrations, she designed the costume concept for Doris Uhlich. She created the set and costume design for Lea Marlen Balzer’s production of “Penthesilea an der Isar”.
Stella expands her spatial design practice through ceramic works, which she also exhibits.
