Betiel Berhe

Betiel Berhe is an economist, author and interdisciplinary thinker. She works at the intersection of political economy, critical theory and education. Her focus is on the question of how power relations along the lines of race, class and gender structure social relations - and how these can be transformed in theory and practice. With her book Nie mehr leise - Die neue migrantische Mittelschicht (2023), she has initiated a broad debate on social mobility and belonging in the context of class society and racism.
