Mathilda Legitimus-Schleicher
Born and raised in Paris, France, I spent 47 years abroad - 2 in the UK and 45 in Munich, Germany, becoming a “citizen of the world” by choice.
Trained in philanthropy 1) at an early age in an Afro-Caribbean/French community family in the world of show business, politics and media - and 2) by experiencing the vision and politics of the United World Colleges from 1977 to 1979,
I focus my efforts on solving difficult problems in the integration and health care of migrant families. I am committed to fighting racism and discrimination. As a tireless believer in the “Vision of a Global Peace”, I nourish my curiosity and my constant desire to fight against poverty by inventing new methods of resolution with the population groups concerned. I lead teams of caregivers and help-seekers to discover their appropriate networks within their own family, friends and neighborhood. I translate these into appropriate life patterns for sustainable comfort and confidence in social and professional lifestyles. I constantly train in courses, workshops, congresses, fairs, groups and specialized working groups, expert symposiums.
In workshops and courses I teach tolerance and acceptance, intercultural /transcultural dialogue and civic courage. I expose people to a human-centered, cross-cultural innovation process, helping them to develop creative solutions. I also help my clients’ teams become more innovative through self-organization, which improves health, well-being, productivity and overall satisfaction.
