Ahmedo

Ahmedo is a passionate musician and music collector who is intensively involved with the history of Kurdish music and traditional stringed instruments. He has been playing instruments such as the tenbûr and lavta since his youth and has attended workshops with renowned musicians. His enthusiasm for Kurdish music goes beyond his own music-making - he researches and archives historical records in order to keep this cultural heritage alive.

They have been making music together for three years and adapt their line-up flexibly – depending on the stage, they perform as a duo or expand their ensemble with additional musicians. With their music, they combine the history of Kurdish records with lively, contemporary interpretations and bring these sounds live to the stage.
