MAF

MAF is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, curator, and DJ, whose work centers around voice and agency through explorations of the non-human entity as both a primary subject and as a metaphor for peoples othered within society; more specifically, the black experience. MAF(he/him), originally from Brooklyn, New York, is living and working in Berlin, Germany.

Harnessing light and gesture, MAF sculpts an otherworldly soundscape, both ethereal and unforgiving. Playing DIAD, a self-designed analog instrument, he uses precise, almost ritualistic movements to conjure a meditative sonic experience where sound and motion merge.
