Işıl Eğrikavuk

Dr. Işıl Eğrikavuk is a Turkish-born international performance artist and academic based in Berlin, Germany. She received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and a PhD in Communication from Istanbul Bilgi University, Istanbul, Turkey. From 2017 to 2024, Eğrikavuk worked as a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), Department of Media and Communication. She is the founder of the other garden, an artistic research space and garden at the intersection of art, ecology, diversity and care. She is currently Artist in Residence at the Käte Hamburger Kolleg global dis:connect at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich.
