Giovanna Bolliger
Giovanna Bolliger, born in Basel (CH) in 1987, studied visual communication in Bern and then worked for two years as an assistant stage designer at Theater Basel. During her time as an assistant, she created her own stage designs for Simon Solberg, among others, and stage illustrations for Volker Lösch and Tomas Schweigen, under whose directorship she was ultimately part of the artistic team at Schauspielhaus Wien from 2015 to 2023 and was responsible for the theater’s graphic design. Since 2012, she has created costume and set designs as well as stage illustrations for for Tomas Schweigen, Morten Joachim, Anna Marboe, Simon Solberg, Jan-Christoph Gockel, Elsa-Sophie Jach, Thomas Köck, Markus Heinzelmann, Simon Jensen and Pinsker+Bernhardt, which took her to the Schauspielhaus Wien, Theater Basel, Riks Theater (NO), Norwegian National Theater, Oslo Nye, Theater Bonn, Landestheater Linz, Burgtheater, FFT Düsseldorf and the Staatstheater Braunschweig.
