Katrin Lindner

Katrin Lindner is a director and lecturer. After working as a journalist, she completed a master’s degree in theater and media studies, modern German literature and pedagogy in Erlangen, Berlin and Vienna. During her studies and as an assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Bochum, she created her first directorial works. In 2010, she co-founded the Rottstr.5 Theater in Bochum. This was followed by productions, world premieres and play developments at the Volksbühne Berlin, the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Schauspiel Dortmund and the Staatstheater Nürnberg, among others, as well as invitations to guest performances such as the Mülheimer Theatertage, Kampnagel and the Federal Foreign Office/Berlin.

Katrin Lindner has received teaching assignments for acting (guest professorship at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Folkwang University in Essen) as well as scholarships from the International Forum at the Berlin Theatertreffen, the Richard Wagner Foundation and the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg. In addition to developing projects after studying to become a curator of the scenic arts, she also works in the film industry.
