Gili Goverman

Gili Goverman completed her training at the “Thelma Yellin School of Performing Arts” in Israel. From 2001 to 2006 she danced in the “Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company” (Rami Be’er). She then worked for several years as a freelance dancer with various choreographers such as Idan Cohen, Marc Ribaud, “Dede Dance” and others in Israel. In 2008 she came to the Saarbrücken State Theater as a guest of the Donlon Dance Company (Marguerite Donlon) before becoming a member of the Nordwest Tanz Company at the Oldenburg State Theater in 2009. There she worked with Jan Pusch, Tero Saarinen, Ina Christel Johannessen, Iztok Kovac, Sungyop Hong, Guy Weizman and Roni Haver, Sharon Eyal and Koen Augustijnen, among others. From 2014 to 2019 she worked as a dancer at the Mainz State Theater with Sharon Eyal, Rui Horta, Jose Navas, Guy Wiezman, Giuseppe Spota, Koen Agustijnen, Rosalaba Torres and Gerry Stuart, among others. In 2017 she also worked in Jesse Broekman’s and Sara Ostertag music theater project “I can see you from the future”, in 2020 as an actor in “Ronja Raubertochter” (director: Asli Kislal), in 2021 in Philipp Glas’s “Orphee” in Lisbon, Portugal and in 2023 in “Chicago” (director: Avishai Chacham) at the Enav Theater, Tel Aviv, Israel. In 2024 she worked as a guest choreographer at the Kassel State Theater, “Leonce and Lena” (director: Charlotte Sprenger). She also works as a ballet teacher and singer.
