Kim Twiddle

Kim Ramona Ranalter works as a freelance theater artist, electronic composer/musician, DJ*, and performance artist under the name Kim_Twiddle. She composes and performs music ranging from electronica, pop, hip hop, and classical to experimental genres for contemporary theater productions, creates sound designs for multimedia works and installations, and produces electronic concerts (live acts). soundcloud.com/kimtwiddle

After completing a two-year stage training program at IMAL Musiktheater e.V., she worked until 2013 as an assistant to the musical director and as an instructor for arrangement and studio technology. From 2014 to 2018, she worked with directors Sapir Heller, Manuela Mantini, Leonie Pichler, and Caitlin Maas, as well as with the ensembles Turbowerk MUC, FBM e.V., Theter e.V., and Bluespots Productions in Bavaria’s independent theater scene. Since 2016, she has increasingly focused on electronic music composition and sound design. She is currently developing and performing the stage music for “Amsterdam” at the Volkstheater München and “Scores that shaped our Friendship.”
