Program and subscription performances

Director Matthias Lilienthal and his artistic team will present the new program exclusively to you during the subscription conference. The productions that are scheduled for the subscription are announced by letter at the beginning of the season (subject to change without notice).

Announcement subscription dates

The subscription dates in Kammer 1 (Schauspielhaus) are determined already at the beginning of the season for the first half of the season and are announced by letter. The remaining dates will follow at the end of January. The subscription dates in Kammer 2 (Spielhalle) and in Kammer 3 (Werkraum) are published together with the monthly program as well as at

Preferred advance ticket sales

For subscribers, advance ticket sales begin one day prior to the regular beginning of sales, usually at the 2th of a month for the program of the following month.

The subscription ID serves as admission ticket and as Munich public transport ticket

The subscription ticket serves for admission on the day of the subscription event and as ticket for a round trip in the entire Munich public transport area. The subscription ID is transferable and can be passed on for subscription events. In addition, it provides free admission to all introductions as well as talks with the audience and artists.

If the subscription ID is lost, the holder can secure a replacement for a fee of 5 Euro. If the holder does not show up at the beginning of the performance, the claim to the seat and admission are forfeited.

Subscription discount

A subscription saves the holder up to 40% of the regular price. For additional performances, holders of a subscription ID can buy their tickets at a discount of up to 30%. Such tickets are personalized and valid only in combination with the subscription ID. This discount also applies at the Thalia Theater Hamburg, the Burgtheater Wien and the Schauspielhaus Zürich.

Cancellation of the subscription date

The cancellation of a date is free of charge and can be effected in person, in writing or by phone up to two working days in advance. The holder will receive a voucher that can be redeemed for another performance at the box office. Starting with the third cancellation a handling charge of 5 Euro per seat will be incurred.

Term and extension

A subscription is valid for one season. If the holder wants to continue the subscription no further steps are required. The subscription is automatically renewed for another season according to the conditions applicable for the new season. Any changes are announced at an early stage. The subscription can be cancelled by both parties no later than May 31.

Conditions of payment

If a subscription has been taken out, the holder will receive an invoice which can be settled by bank transfer, at the box office during regular business hours or by direct debit authorization. Should the payment not be received in a timely manner, we reserve the right to resell the subscription seat.
