A PROJEKT BY MUNICH WELCOME THEATRE
“Traum in Schwarz│in Weiß (Dream in Black│in White)” is a dance workshop series that is directed by the dancer and choreographer Taigué Ahmed and has the goal of bringing together pupils of the Vocational School for Professional Training at Balanstraße and students of the first-year drama class of the Otto Falckenberg School. All participants are invited for (cultural) exchange: Dances, texts and songs are shared in a teach & teach back system and explored together. Skills and chaos intermingle – lack of knowledge turns into knowledge, the stranger becomes a work associate, maybe even a confidant.
A sensitization for one’s own body, the body of other persons – their stories, joys and pains – as well as for opportunities of artistic expression happens (almost) by itself.
At the end of the workshop series a heterogeneous ensemble performs on the stage whose members enjoy presenting their thoughts and the results of their work in an open manner.
“Dream in Black│in White” is part of the MUNICH WELCOME THEATRE and linked to the work with under-age refugees that Taigué Ahmed and his organization Ndam Se Na have pursued since 2005.
The presentation of “Dream in Black│in White” will take place on May 8 at 7:00pm in Kammer 2.
