Kammer 2

By She She Pop & zeitkratzer

Play — according to the cultural historian Johan Huizinga — is a free action performed within certain fixed limits in time and space, according to voluntarily accepted, but unconditionally binding rules. Its goal lies within itself and is accompanied by a sense of excitement and joy. It creates community associations that like to shroud themselves in mystery, or stand out using costume, from the everyday world. In “The Ocean is Closed” the music ensemble zeitkratzer and the performance collective She She Pop observe each other across the boundaries of their respective genres. They take a fascinated look at their “exotic” colleagues: alien eyes and ears are interested in other things, ask the right ‘wrong’ questions, misunderstand agreements and violate fundamental laws. She She Pop and Zeitkratzer give a concert of mystery, order and ocean. They celebrate music and performance itself.
