Kammer 1

OPEN DAY

WITH GUIDED TOURS OF THE STUDIOS OF THE MÜNCHNER KAMMERSPIELE

Open doors are wonderful occasions; they represent transparency, permeability and common ground. When doors are open, there is no need for keys or codes, passports or visas. The Kammerspiele takes the Open Day of the City of Munich literally – by opening whatever can be opened: the doors to the assembly studio and the fire doors to the carpentry workshop, the glazed entrance to the dramaturgy office and the steel door in front of the painting studio. And, of course, the almost 10-metre-high booth of Kammer 1, which can only be opened with the aid of motors, which will be opened for this day of guided tours throughout the theatre. The last leg of the tour goes down from the stage into the auditorium in search of a (hopefully) well-kept secret: on the occasion of the Open Day, the Kammerspiele will present its programme for the coming season.
