A GAME FOR TEENS ABOUT DATA SECURITY AND SURVEILLANCE WITH DANIEL SEITZ / IN GERMAN
In the Alternate Reality Game DATA RUN, teens take on the role of hackers – so-called “enlighteners” – to unmask a criminal authority within two hours. In a fight against time they interact in various roles with virtual avatars. To win, they need tools to protect their privacy which can take the form of masking their IP address, turning off location services, installing a secure password manager and so on. This is the only way that they can fulfil their task, which is to prevent a terrorist attack and save their city.
In cooperation with medialepfade.de - Agency for Media Education. For adolescents from 12 years upwards.
