NO LIMITS? GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES ON MIGRATION AND FLIGHT ISTANBUL / MEXICO CITY / MUNICH

With Philipp Ruch, Ulrike Guérot and many more; IN ENGLISH WITH GERMAN SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION

The world is in motion. For the first time in history more than 60 million people around the globe are currently fleeing – they flee from war, persecution and poverty. But many of them who set out with great hopes never reach their destination. They fail to find their promised land because of borders – political, geographical and economical ones. At the same time the political and social climate in the countries of arrival seems to heat up. What do these borders look like? How different or maybe how similar are the local conditions in various places in the world? In what manner can art contribute to the global discourse? This event by the Goethe Institute and the Münchner Kammerspiele searches for new structures of solidarity in a changing world. A change in perspective – live and simultaneously by video conference in Munich, Mexico City and Istanbul.
