Workshop presentation at Bellevue di Monaco / free entry
December 17 / 4 p.m. / in English
The Syrian actor and author Ziad Adwan led a theatre workshop over several weeks with 15 residents from the Lotte-Brans-Straße refugee centre. Based on the personal experiences of the participants and Augusto Boal’s “Theatre of the Oppressed”, the workshop developed strategies to address experiences of violence and everyday discrimination in a new living situation. In the final presentation, scenes developed by the participants led to political discussions about the present and future of our “society of arrival”.
