Kammer 3

By Anta Helena Recke and Julian Meding

Two persons together in one room. They clamber about one another, unwind, gain momentum, hold on to one another, let go again and hold on to something else. Using a toy made of fabric and metal hooks, various procedures, bodily states, speeds and motions are tested in order to achieve a state of togetherness. The materials they use include discourses and objects which influence, shape and penetrate body and desire. With a suspicious view to the popular knowledge gained from film, literature and the so-called vernacular about romantic love, the performance poses the farther-reaching question of “how to get together?”
