No fewer than seven years have passed since their last album. In pop music, that’s an eternity. Now Lali Puna are back – but they return to a world that has radically changed in the meantime. It is all the more astonishing that “Two Windows”, the band’s fifth album, is as up-to-date as ever. Their melancholic, dreamy electro-pop, which is known far beyond their home town of Munich, is juxataposed with lyrics, in which the protagonist, who had given up on music because of family responsibilities, reflects on changes in her life that are not always idyllic.
