This Silence Kills the Unknown
The artist Dominique Dillon de Byington alias Dillon was born in Brazil, grew up in Cologne and lives in Berlin. Within a few years she has evolved into one of the most advanced song writers in the vast field between pop, art song and electronic music. Her first two albums, “This Silence Kills” and “The Unknown” are actually one – they tell a coherent story. When she was asked by the Berlin Festival “Foreign Affairs” last year to develop a concert in a theatrical setting, she decided in favor of a performance with a choir of sixteen female singers to accompany her and Tamer Fahri Özgönenc, her collaborator and the co-producer of her first two albums. These voices lift her music based on piano and electronic sounds on a physical level where her singing can perform a yearning dance. The result of this collaboration has now been released under the title “This Silence Kills the Unknown”. For this reason, Dillon brings her legendary concert performance once again back to the stage of the Münchner Kammerspiele.
