Manuel Rubey und Simon Schwarz: Liebe

Simon loves it at supersonic speed,
With drumbeats, flashes of lightning, claps of thunder.
He eats chilli for breakfast, plain and raw,
And says clearly, logically, ‘of course!’
Simon loves the here and now!
Preferably here, but best of all there.
He yawns whilst sprinting, he dreams whilst running,
And gets up before the alarm goes off.
Simon loves speed very much,
But Manuel – him, he loves even more.

Manuel loves quiet laughter,
Well-thought-out, carefully planned things.
He irons shirts methodically,
And doesn’t find that extreme at all.
He loves notes, neatly sorted,
He’s even archived chance itself.
He loves a book with a dog-eared page,
And still reads the blurb aloud.
Manuel loves all of this very much,
But he loves his Simon even more.

From January 2027, they’ll be presenting their second joint stage show. Wild melodies and grand emotions clash with minor everyday disasters, yet always lead back to the question of how we can manage, despite everything, to choose love time and time again.
