Remember. Tell stories. Think ahead. — What remains of a story – and what emerges when we share it with one another?

This workshop invites participants to keep memories alive, pass them on, and engage creatively with issues of memory, heritage, loss, hope, identity and living together.

The gathering serves as preparation for the closing event of this year’s ausArten Festival on 24 October 2026 at the Karmelitenkirche. “ECHO 92 – Bosnian Remembrance and Commemoration” is a staged reading featuring music, literature and personal narratives from the Bosnian diaspora. It takes its starting point from literary texts created in Zurich in 2025 as part of a multilingual writing project. For the Munich edition, this format will be specifically developed further and expanded to include new voices from Munich.

The workshop is expressly aimed at anyone interested – not just those with a Bosnian background. The focus is on creating an open space where different life stories, experiences and perspectives can resonate with one another. For memory is never exclusively individual: it arises through exchange and flourishes where people listen to one another.
