Transport: Fasten your Seat Belts!

The production takes a close look at the booming space tourism industry. Billionaires are competing to send people into orbit and commercialize space. But if we’re already relinquishing responsibility for our home planet and plunging it into ruin, why should things turn out any better on a new planet?

TRANSPORT is a Europe-wide theater project initiated by Slovenian director Tin Grabnar. Six mobile productions were created at six theaters in five countries, exploring mobility, sustainability, and the impact of transportation on our world.

In the 2026 edition of the Wunder. Puppet Theater Festival, two productions will be performing at the Werkraum. We’re presenting *Fasten your Seatbelts!* by the Klaipėda Puppet Theatre and the production *Departure* by the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre.

All productions are designed as compact, resource-efficient touring productions while simultaneously questioning the ecological implications of theater touring. The project is funded by the European Union as part of Creative Europe.
