What was it like at the Falckenberg back then? What does it mean today to appear on big stages and screens – or to be behind the camera yourself?

Our guest for the next “Back to School” is Ina Weisse (graduated in 1992): After completing her training at the OFS, she gained theatre experience at the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam and the Nationaltheater in Mannheim. Since 1994, she has appeared in over 50 film and TV productions and has received numerous awards, including the German Television Prize and the Grimme Prize.

But Ina Weisse did not confine herself to working in front of the camera: after studying film directing at the Hamburg Media School under Hark Bohm, she made her feature film directorial debut in 2008 with *Der Architekt* (starring Sandra Hüller and Sepp Bierbichler). This was followed by a documentary about the Neue Nationalgalerie (2016), *Das Vorspiel* starring Nina Hoss (2019) and, most recently, *Zikaden*, starring Nina Hoss and Saskia Rosendahl – set to premiere at the Berlinale in 2025.
