The Future is Glam

But first things first: we’re kicking off with the event ‘The Future is Glam’:

Project funding under the nationwide sustainability initiative “Fonds Zero” has transformed the Werkraum. This is evident, if nothing else, in the new modular auditorium. Time for a blend of reflection and dance: an interactive future lab involving art history students from LMU is developing a “wheel of fortune” of sustainability utopias for this evening. A conversation about a sustainable future for theatre is taking shape. Generally speaking, our image of the future is shaped by dystopias. Can we at least add a touch of glitz and glamour to it and bring a sense of lightness to the discourse?

Yes! We can: Milo Čortanovački is taking us through a revue. With a twinkle in his eye, a microphone in his hand and the energy of an entire stadium tour, Rocky Black takes to the stage. With legendary poses, rousing anthems and plenty of charm, the drag king delivers a show in a class of its own that’s guaranteed to get everyone on their feet, whilst comedian Bilal Mohammed weaves a tale about this cultural institution and the sexiness of sustainability.
