When the Münchner Kammerspiele moved to Maximilian Straße 100 years ago, it was home to a diverse, in many cases Jewish working community which underwent a drastic transformation under National Socialism.

Now, current members of staff at the theatre, along with city residents, are exploring the lives of 100 individuals selected as representative examples. The stories of actors, directors, dancers, lawyers and accountants from back then – as well as many others who worked at the theatre and were forced to flee the city or otherwise faded into obscurity – are being retold. The Habibi Kiosk is being transformed into a space of living memory with individual accounts, the retelling of stories, dance and plenty of music. The evening is the first in a series of events artistically dedicated to these 100 voices that is taking place throughout the season.
