Author Anne Jelena Schulte in conversation with activist Nina Fuchs (Kein Opfer e.V.) and student of law Konstantina Raptis (Feminist Law Clinic)
Sexual violence is never merely an isolated incident, but is deeply embedded in social structures. In most cases, power dynamics and the limitations of a legal system that is often patriarchal in nature remain hidden. The event ‘Two Cases, One System’ brings together three perspectives in a discussion: an examination of two individual cases serves as the starting point for a discussion about significant gaps in the justice system and activist practice.
Author Anne Jelena Schulte speaks publicly for the first time about her own case, which she has addressed in the play *the truest true crime*, set to premiere in December at the Munich Kammerspiele. Together with activist Nina Fuchs, founder of KO e.V., the discussion will focus on how those affected raise public awareness, the role played by solidarity, and why structural changes are urgently needed but difficult to establish.
The discussion will be complemented by Konstantina Raptis from the Feminist Law Clinic. She will speak about the sexist reality of legal education, her work at the Law Clinic, and current legal debates surrounding the media exploitation of victims’ stories.
An evening exploring violence and the law, visibility, language, and avenues for resistance.
